COVID-19 UPDATE
Hello Piranhas Families -
As previously mentioned, the Pflugerville Piranhas follow the lead of both the NWSC and the City of Pflugerville as we make decisions on the upcoming season. NWSC has given the individual swim teams the opportunity to plan a swim season at the team level. This means, the Pflugerville Piranhas are currently in the process of scheduling and planning for a non-traditional season. At the NWSC level, the circuit deems the season to be cancelled. At the team level, we are monitoring the events and rules while planning for a safe, fun season for the swimmers. The Board is also discussing options to maintain social distancing for any event. More information will follow as we develop plans.
What we know right now:
Team Swimsuits - To minimize expenses to families, we are foregoing the team swimsuit requirement for the 2020 swim season.
Swimsuit Try-on Dates: Cancelled for 2020 season
Meet and Greet: May 9 planned date is being postponed. New dates being determined.
First Practice Date: Monday, June 1
Swim Meets: TBD
New end of season date: Saturday, July 11
Please do check the website regularly. We will make updates as information becomes available and, of course, email notifications will be sent out.
May your families be happy, healthy, and safe during this challenging time.
Hope to see you all in a few weeks!

Bad Weather Policy
If there is lightning and thunder at the pool, we are required to wait 30 minutes from the last occurrence of lightning/thunder before resuming practice. We usually check the radar during this time and make a decision about the remaining practices of the day. We communicate this one of two ways: by using Remind (text @pfpiranhas to 81010 to sign up) or by e-mail.
Pflugerville Piranhas
The Pflugerville Piranhas is a competitive summer league swim team for kids 5-17 years old. We swim a 10 week season beginning the end of April and finishing up on July 13th. New swimmers must be able to swim the length of the pool (25 meters) using any stroke. Practices are in the afternoons until the end of the school year when we switch to morning practices for the remainder of the season.
